SharpSpring enables you to add and link an image to an email.
Adding an image to an email is a great way to grab the attention of the email recipient. It's important to remember to add a link to that image's source. If the image isn't from your company, the link to the image's source will allow you to provide proper attribution to an individual's work. If the image is from your own website, then you are simply providing another method that the recipient can use to access a different part of your website.
The following video will show you how to add and link an image to an email in SharpSpring. However, if you prefer, a written step-by-step guide is available below the video for your convenience.
Step-by-Step Guide to Adding and Linking an Image to an Email
Step 1: Click on "Content" in the top navigation bar.
Step 2: Select "Emails" in the drop down menu.
(For demo purposes, let's use the "Hero 1" template and act as if a new email is being created.)
Step 3: Create a title for the email.
Step 4: Click on the blue "Add Email" button.
Step 5: Click on the photo box in the email editor on the left side of the screen first. This will allow you to edit the email in the screen to the right.
Step 6: Click on the editor on the right side of the page to insert the photo.
(Note: All of the SharpSpring templates except for the "Plain Text" template, will have a designated spot for inserting photos)
Step 7: Find the "insert image" icon located on the toolbar and click it to open the "File Manager."
Step 8: Click the "File Search" icon. It looks like a magnifying glass on top of a file.
Step 9: Select the desired photo.
Step 10: Click on the blue "Insert" button
Step 11: Enter a description and the desired proportions for the photo.
(Note: You can also adjust the proportions by dragging the corners of the image in the email itself)
Step 12: Click the blue "OK" button.
You have successfully added an image to your email.
