Creating and Editing Emails

SharpSpring enables you to create and edit emails using a variety of different email templates. ​The following video will show you how to create and edit an email in SharpSpring. However, if you prefer, a written step-by-step guide is available below the video for your convenience. ​



Step-by-Step Guide on how to Create and Edit Emails 

Note: This guide is based on the assumption that you're creating a new email. If you are looking to edit an already created email, you can simply click on the email from the "Emails" page and choose the edit email option)

Step 1: Click on "Content" in the top navigation bar.

Step 2: Select "Emails" in the drop down menu.

Step 3: You can create a new email by clicking on the "Create New Email" icon.


Step 4: Name your Email and place checkmark if you want the email to appear in the "Contact Manager. This will allow you to send "one off" Smart Emails.

Step 5: Click on the blue "Add Email" button.

Step 6: Give your email a subject. The "handshake" of all emails. Make it count. 

Step 7: Edit the email content

The email editor is completely dynamic and fully customizable. You can change the font, add images, insert merge variables and attachments. A live preview will show on the left hand side of the editor.

Step 8: Once you have finished creating your email, click on the blue "Preview Email" button to see what the finished product will look like.

Step 9: Click on the green "Save Changes" button before moving to another part of the app.
