Segmenting Leads With A Dynamic List

Segmenting leads with Dynamic Lists is simple and powerful.  ​The following video will show you how to segment leads using a Dynamic List in SharpSpring. However, if you prefer, a written step-by-step guide is available below the video for your convenience. 




Step-by-Step Guide to Create a Dynamic List 

Step 1: Click on the green “New” button in the upper right corner of SharpSpring.

Step 2: Select “List” in the drop down menu.


Step 3: Name the list.

Step 4: Make sure the  “Rules Based” list is checked off before proceeding to the next screen

Step 5: Click on the blue “Create List” button.

(Note: Place the checkmark in the box next to “Apply to the Contacts Already in Your Database” if you want to retroactively apply the rules to contacts already in your database.)

Step 6: On the ensuing screen, scroll down to the "Triggers & Filters" section and click on the first drop down menu

Step 7: Select “When Any” (default setting) in the drop down menu.

Step 8: Select the “Add the trigger" (Default setting) in the drop down menu to the left

Step 9: Click on the "When a Contact" drop down menu.

Step 10: Select “Fills out a Form” and choose the form name from the drop down list

Step 11: Click on the gray “Add Rule” button to view the list

Step 12: Make sure you click on the green "save changes" button as you add additional rules. You can add as many rules as you like to segment the lists even further using “Add Filter” and “Add Trigger”. You've created a Dynamic List!
