VisitorID captures the visitors to your site. The following video will show you how to setup VisitorID in SharpSpring. However, if you prefer, a written step-by-step guide is available below the video for your convenience.
Step-by-Step Guide on how to Setup VisitorID
Step 1: Click on the gray “System Admin” button in the upper right corner of SharpSpring.
Step 2: Click on “Settings” in the drop down menu.
Step 3: Select “VisitorID" in the side panel on the left side of the screen under the “Features” section of the panel.
Step 4: Click on the “Important Contacts" tab.
Step 5: Use the available filters on this page to customize the leads you're interested in targeting.
Step 6: Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the green "Save Changes" button before proceeding to the next tab.
Step 7: Click on the “Important Pages” tab. This feature allows you to track leads who visit the pages you deem important. Your sales team can then reach out to them with pertinent information of interest to them based on their interests.
Step 8: Enter the extensions for the important pages in the “Page” field next to the “Site” name.
Step 9: Add a color designation to a lead that identifies the pages they visited.
Step 10: Add Page notes if desired.
Step 11: Click on the blue "Add Important Page" button once you have finished identifying your important pages.
(Note: There is a third tab called “Blacklisted Domains”. This is a feature that allows you to exclude domains from showing up in VisitorID results. More information on blacklisted domains, can be found here.
